Description
The PM-0001 ProtoShield is intended to be disposable or have limited reuse (according to CDC terminology). PM-0001 is best for extended use and is recommended to be disposed of after first use or washed and reused at the end of every shift (must let the foam dry). It is not intended for rapid reuse or frequent doffing.The CDC’s extended use recommendations hold that extended use is favored as it involves less touching of the respirator (in this case, the shield), and therefore less risk of contact transmission.
The PM-0001 is ideal for low traffic scenarios, warehouses, janitorial usage, grocery stores or other general uses.
Manufacture Notes:
Personal protective equipment (PPE) are in short supply, so our small family run business (Proto Solutions, a prototype manufacturer in San Diego) has retooled to make face shields for our local community and beyond. We want to help protect those that take care of us!
Fit. Our ProtoShield is one-size-fits-most. A larger size is available, inquire if interested.
Features. The clear polycarbonate shield is 8” from top to bottom, and 16” across. It is rigid enough to protect the face, while flexible enough to mold around most faces.*
Comfort. The foam headband conforms nicely to most foreheads.
Secure. The entire face shield is secured to the user’s head with a low- snag Velcro strap
Reusable. Both the clear polycarbonate and foam can be cleaned with mild soap and water to be reused.**
100% Recyclable. All materials used in making the ProtoShield are recyclable.
